VOLUNTEER
Project Horizon was founded, built and is maintained by volunteers and they are an integral part of our agency. Our organization would not be where it is today (providing advocacy and emergency shelter to Rockbridge County) without the support from our community.
What can Volunteers do?
Project Horizon Volunteers are able to:
-
Answer hotline calls
-
Interact with shelter residents
-
Assist residents with childcare or help with homework
-
Conduct resident intake and help clients get set up in the shelter
-
Provide office support
-
Work with employees on specific projects, such as translation or art projects
-
Assist staff in community outreach and events
