Project Horizon was founded, built and is maintained by volunteers and they are an integral part of our agency. Our organization would not be where it is today (providing advocacy and emergency shelter to Rockbridge County) without the support from our community.
Project Horizon Volunteers are able to:
Answer hotline calls
Interact with shelter residents
Assist residents with childcare or help with homework
Conduct resident intake and help clients get set up in the shelter
Provide office support
Work with employees on specific projects, such as translation or art projects
For questions, contact Kaitlyn at firstname.lastname@example.org or (540) 463-7861.
All volunteering is coordinated through GivePulse. Click the link above to log in or create an account. After submitting your application through GivePulse, you will receive an email about scheduling an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator. All volunteers are required to complete 18 hours of classroom training and 12 hours of shadowing in order to interact with clients.
