We are pleased to share that Project Horizon has a wonderful collaboration with the Rockbridge Area Health Center. Our Health Advocate, Darleny, is overseeing this new program and is a native Spanish speaker.
Having the Mobile Clinics onsite allows our clients easier access to healthcare; such as dental cleanings, birth control, vaccines, and general wellness for the whole family. The clinic provides Spanish materials, clinicians that speak Spanish, as well as access to a translation system for other languages.
We have already seen that this partnership has broken barriers to accessing healthcare! Many clients have relationships with our staff and they feel more comfortable. The wait times are shorter, the location is more convenient, and we can assist with paperwork or other obstacles that might arise.
A big thank you to the Rockbridge Area Health Center for this important collaboration to assist so many to access healthcare.
