7th Annual Juneteenth Art Show

Open reception and awards will be held at the Nelson Gallery on June 5, 2026 from 5-7pm.

Project Horizon invites local artists (Rockbridge, Buena Vista and Lexington) to submit artwork on the theme for an exhibition commemorating Juneteenth.

​

This year's theme will be "I, too, am America," by Langston Hughes.

Important Things to Know

01

Items must be properly labeled with the form provided, and all pieces must be ready to hang with wire.

02

Artwork can be dropped off at Project Horizon, 120 Varner Lane, between May 1 to May 26, 
from 8 am to 5 pm.

03

A 20% sales commission fee will be factored into the sale price.

04

If your artwork was paid with a credit/debit card, there is a 3% additional charge from the sale price.

05

Due to space, artists are limited to 2 submissions per person.

06

Project Horizon reserves the right to not display art works it deems inappropriate.

07

Everyone is welcome to create art for the show including school art classes, galleries, and people of all ages.
