Topics are covered such as domestic violence, sexual assault, crisis intervention, protective orders, victims with disabilities, child abuse, victims in the LGBTQ community, and more. This training will provide the necessary information for volunteers to feel educated and equipped to assist victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Trainings are offered three times a year. 24-Hour Crisis Hotline Volunteers help Project Horizon staff to answer the 24-hour crisis hotline. For more information click below. Project Horizon is recognized for its education and outreach programs, specifically its elementary, middle, and high school programs here in the Rockbridge area. Focused on prevention, these programs are available free of charge to the local community, civic organizations, schools from preschool to high, local universities and colleges, allied professionals, local businesses, or any group that wishes to learn more about what we do, or more about the subjects surrounding domestic and sexual violence.
